Spiffing Up Your Space: Smart Ways to Stage Your Home on a Budget, summer edition

I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan. Welcome to the land of fame excess (whoa), am I gonna fit in?

That's a little taste of what pops into my head when I think about summer! Ah, summer—the season of sunny skies, epic vacations, and a real estate market hotter than a sidewalk in July.

Ready to sell your home? Dive into these budget-friendly staging tips, and let's get that "SOLD" sign in your yard (bonus points if it says "SOLD by Love & Co.")

  1. Clear the clutter in every room—because nobody needs to see your mess, darling. Tame those wild, strangling cords (seriously, this isn't a jungle). Clearing clutter also includes hiding any extra and unnecessary appliances to make your kitchen counters look spacious and fabulous.

  2. Set the dining room table and/ or style the bar cart. Pretend you're hosting a five-star dinner party every day! Pro tip, add some greenery to your table—real or fake, it doesn't matter. Just make it look like you care.

  3. Make sure your light bulbs all match. We're not running a disco here.

  4. Put your pillows under the comforter and add some decorative accent pillows. Because layers, honey, layers! Don’t forget to steam your comforter to get all the wrinkles out. So fresh, so clean!

  5. Drape a cozy blanket on the corner of the bed and accent it with a serving tray, books, and some greenery. Instant chic!

  6. Style decor in threes. Trust me, it's what the cool kids are doing.

  7. Hang a neutral-themed wreath on the front door along with a cute doormat. Welcome your guests with style.

  8. Plastic soap bottles are so last season. For an instant style upgrade, swap them out for these chic, budget-friendly options.

  9. Get matching towels for all baths. If your paint color is bright and eccentric, go for muted towels. If your paint color is neutral, go wild with colors or patterns.

  10. Add artwork. This adds character; you can score great pieces at places like Marshalls or Target. Plus, hang them with command strips to avoid wrecking the walls and more work later.

There you go, fabulous and stylish with minimal effort!
